Anca studied Photography & Video at the University of Arts in Bucharest and expanded her horizons with an Erasmus scholarship at Interface Culture in Linz, where she explored the relationship between art and technology.
Since then, Anca has collaborated with various galleries and agencies, making a name for herself in the creative scene. Her performances and innovative projects not only push boundaries but also invite audiences to connect with contemporary themes in meaningful ways.
Starting with a series of performances with her project HIPDIEBATTERY, Anca has brought her distinctive sound to numerous stages, playing a key role in shaping and innovating the local electronic music scene at a time when there were few female musicians.
Her work includes memorable appearances at Control Club Bucharest, the Robot Elephant Records Showcase Tour across London, Manchester, and Reading in 2012, and the Rokolectiv Festival at MNAC Bucharest in 2013.
She shared the stage with notable artists like Nadja, Keep Shelly from Athens, Pictureplane, Jacques Greene, Evian Christ, Holy Other, Le1f, and others.
She created one of the first projects aimed at supporting Romanian fashion designers, called RO Select, hosting pieces from Ancuta Sarca, Catalin Veleanu, and Anca Belbe. Anca's contributions to exhibitions like Romanian Design Week (2014) included her innovative fashion collection Warp Hood, which combined sports garments with 3D design and digital print. She has also been involved in various collaborations, including RO Select events in partnership with Romanian Design Week.
Collaborating with various agencies in Bucharest and exploring cutting-edge technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), which I applied in branding campaigns. Some examples include campaigns for Kent and Coca-Cola.
